Loretta Gonzales, MPAS, PA-C

A Licensed Physician Assistant in Albuquerque

Loretta Gonzales, MPAS, PA-C, is a licensed physician assistant who graduated from the University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, New Mexico (NM), in April of 2023.

Loretta is an eighth-generation New Mexican and is proud to call New Mexico her home. After graduating from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in communications, she worked for 2.5 years as a medical assistant in primary care and urgent care. She was inspired to become a physician assistant (PA) to help provide care to medically underserved populations in New Mexico and utilize her background in communications to promote patient-centered and culturally competent care.

With a passion for medicine, skincare, and aesthetics, Loretta knew early on that dermatology was the specialty she wanted to pursue. Not only does she believe that the skin is a window to one’s whole-body health, but she also believes that feeling good about your skin and confidence in your appearance is essential for overall well-being. Loretta’s goal is to use medical and cosmetic interventions to help patients achieve their skin goals and feel good both inside and out.

Loretta has gained specialized experience and knowledge to treat various dermatological conditions. She is furthering her training with operating lasers for cosmetic treatments as well. Currently, she is working towards a Diplomate Fellowship with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Loretta loves to spend her time gardening, creating (painting, costume-making, graphic design), camping, and hanging out with her family/friends, her rescue bulldog Brutus, and her feisty miniature dachshund Leeloo.
