Permanent cosmetics are not only
for the rich and famous! Now you
can experience the convenience
and beauty for yourself. If you
have poor eyesight or unsteady
hands, oily skin, hair loss, or
you are the busy person who
always wants to look your best,
permanent makeup is the answer
for you.
Permanent makeup is a form of
cosmetic tattooing where pigment
is implanted into the dermis of
the skin. This cosmetic
procedure can enhance eyes, as
permanent eyeliner, lips as
permanent lipstick or lip-liner,
and eyebrows, either by
augmenting eyebrows that have
thinned or darkening and
sharpening the line of existing
eyebrows.
We find that this procedure can
be beneficial for women who are
allergic to traditional
cosmetics or who have difficulty
seeing well enough to apply
makeup. It also can be useful
for clients whose hands tend to
be shaky. Permanent makeup can
help “even out” asymmetric
features. Permanent makeup is
very popular with clients who
have very busy, active
lifestyles. We also offer
camouflage tattoo for scars to
help minimize their appearance.
The procedure is done in our spa
using sterile technique by our
two permanent makeup artists.
Photos are taken before the
procedure. Usually topical
anesthetics are all that is
needed for client comfort.
Occasionally local injectable
anesthetics are employed,
especially in applying permanent
lipstick. Some swelling usually
results from the procedure, but
ice packs are applied
post-procedure to help minimize
swelling.
All tattoos fade with time.
Permanent makeup tends to last
about 2 years, with some
lightening of the tattooing over
that time period. The life of
your permanent makeup can be
increased by regular sunscreen
and hat use and by the wearing
of sunglasses.
