DR. SARA A. MILLS, M.D., PhD
A Dermatologist in Albuquerque: Dermatologic Surgery and More
Dr. Mills was raised in Nebraska and attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, graduating with a bachelor's degree in biology. She subsequently attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She moved to New Mexico in 1980, attended graduate school at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, and graduated with a Ph.D. in medical sciences (pharmacology). She received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine as well. Dr. Mills completed her residency training in dermatology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Mills is the former president of the New Mexico Dermatological Society, and is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the American Contact Dermatology Society. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Mills is especially interested in dermatologic surgery, including Mohs micrographic surgery, but enjoys practicing general dermatology and treating a wide variety of dermatologic conditions. She, like Drs. Glass and Einhorn, finds operating a spa to be a rewarding and challenging experience, and is glad to be able to offer cosmetic procedures under the oversight of physicians who are board certified in dermatology. Dr. Mills enjoys her patients and is quick to bring a smile to their faces.
Dr. Mills is married and has two sons. In her free time, she likes to attend her sons' baseball and soccer games and participate at their schools. She likes to run (although not competitively) and is developing an interest in beading and jewelry making.
