WDC is seeking an experienced Receptionist who will welcome clients and patients to the practice with a warm and friendly demeanor and provide for their comfort while they are in our practice
Responsibilities:
Greets patients and their families, answers telephones promptly, professionally, and courteously. Prepares a medical chart for each patient, checks insurance benefits, scans patient information into computer system. Directs patients and visitors to appropriate area when necessary, and provides information and makes referral when necessary. Verifies correct demographics and identification of patient, correcting any information that is incorrect. Activates the registration of the patient to ensure accurate record keeping. Schedules and confirms appointments. Prepares all patient records for the scheduled appointment, verifying that the records are complete to promote a safe, smooth and efficient experience for the patient.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1 or more years experience in a medical office setting in reception. Excellent customer service skills, familiarity with insurance benefits a plus. Must have a professional attitude and the ability to multi-task.
